Looking back at 2025

And this was another very busy year!

In addition to my 12th French Championship title, I also won the F3F French Cup. In fact, I don’t even remember how many times I’ve won it since its creation in 2000. Adding to that a very respectable result at the Pyrénées Cup (5th place) and a great victory in the French team selection contest in July, I also won the overall selection process. As a result, I will be part of the French team for 2026, which will travel to Cantabria, Spain, at the end of August 2026, together with my teammates Andreas Fricke and JB Deguelle, under the leadership of our team manager Frédéric Hours!

But 2025 was also about many great leisure flying sessions and wonderful encounters. I flew a lot with my FW ASW17, which I absolutely love, as well as my Siroko, did some DS with the Stormchaser, and discovered two flying sites where I had never flown before.

Finally, 2025 also marked the release of the Twisty, which I developed for Kavan and which received a very warm welcome.

On the publishing side, it was a dense year with numerous articles for Aufwind and Modèle Magazine (NAN Compass, F3F World Championship report, Aviatik Composites Falco, ballast strategies, RTGmodel Freya), including reviews but not only that. Two new articles are already on Philipp’s desk and will be published very soon.

A huge thank you to MKS (with a special mention to Nick Li), who has been supporting me for 15 years now and enables me to equip my gliders and keep moving forward and progress.

Now it’s the winter break, although a few glider outings are still planned. However, 2026 already looks very busy, starting with F3F and culminating in the last week of August with the World Championship. I also hope that the project for a new slope-soaring glider, with a 4.20 m wingspan, will come to fruition. In any case, I can’t wait to see how it performs in flight. More recently, I’ve also started designing a new model for Kavan, very different from the Twisty, but I don’t yet know when it will be released. For both of these new gliders, I’ll tell you more when the time comes! And of course, there will be more articles and reviews throughout the year—some are already scheduled.

Now it’s time to wish you all wonderful end-of-year holidays with your families, a Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year’s Eve!

See you very soon on the slopes!
