F3F at le col du glandon
Last week-end was the F3F contest organized by our club. this contest has been the first F3F contest in France, in 1994, so this year was the 15th edition !
The scenery on this slope is absolutely amazing as you fly with the Mont-Blanc in the background.
On Saturday, the condition were great, but Cold: 3 degrees in the morning when arriving on the slope, and 10 degrees at the maximum. The wind was blowing between 6 and 8 m/s on the north slope. We managed 5 rounds with 39 Pilots: I won rounds 1 and 3, finished 1st at the end of the day, with Alexis at 12 points of me over 4000 pts !!!
Sunday was a calm day and we tried hard to complete at least one round, but the god Eole was not very cooperative, so we had to declare the day off and stay on Saturday results.
The Martinet flew very well with the new CG at 109 mm: Excellent energy retention, and speed in straight line, no stall despite the high altitude (2000m).
In addition I received a vey nice prize from Frank Cornu: a 2.5 " hardened SSD, 80 Go hard disk from Intel. Many thanks Frank !
