Battery connector with balancer plug

A quick look at the battery connections on the ODIN. Until now, I've been wiring my 2S Li-Ion batteries with a main JST connector and a servo connector acting as a balancer, which I use with an adapter to connect to the charger. But most of the time I don't balance my batteries (which I charge to a maximum of 1Ah), or maybe only once a year. In 2025, I started equipping my batteries with a more secure XT-30 connector.

And then recently, I discovered a new MR-30 connector format which, for a slightly larger size, offers 3 pins. So a single connector for both power AND balancing—perfect! As for the charging cable, which now has 3 wires, you have to bridge the positive and negative wires on the XT-60 connector on the charger side to add the center tap and then connect everything to the balance connector. We'll see how it goes in practice, but I find this new connector very interesting.
