So beautifully crazy!!! In the Bernese Oberland, where most of Swiss (and European) basejump takes place, we count five deaths this season. Last Thursday, the week before the World Championship, a German had a no-open of his parachute and died. Next day, a women fell from the starting point with fatal issue. The international competition took place anyway during the weekend. This year alone, we count around 15'000 jumps (10'000 last year). The average number of yearly accidents is 20. From them 1/4 are fatal.
When I was saying so good, I was talking about the video, not the sport itself. I share your point of view regarding the dangerousness of the base jump.
Very nice pictures indeed ...but watching them just scared me . PS: Pierre thanks for your site and for the time you spend to master it ...always good infos , good pictures ..
